Who is the "us" of sixanswers.com? I assume that in the future I will receive help from my wife,
probably a few friends, and maybe some volunteers. The "us", however, is currently an "I."
My name is Jeremy Morris. I am currently a 28 year old, happily married, student working to get
my Bachelor's in Computer Science before I am 30.
I was born in Lubbock, Texas while my father attended Sunset School of Preaching (now
Sunset International Bible Institute, or SIBI). A few months after my birth my family moved to South Africa where I spent
the first 6 years of my life. In 1981, at the age of six, my family moved back to the United States where my father took
a job as a full time minister in Albany, NY. I grew up and graduated high school in Albany, NY.
I graduated from high school in June of 1993. After a year of working full time I headed off to Lubbock, Texas to join the
Adventures in Missions (AIM) program. After 8 months of Bible studies in Lubbock I was sent to Albany, NY to
complete the "mission term" of the program. Despite having grown up here I was aware of the growth the congregation was making
and wanted to be involved in keeping the momentum going.
In Albany I worked with both the Singles group and with the teens. My room mate and co-worker worked exclusively with the teens and I was able to lend some help when needed.
While in Albany I continued a long distance relationship with a young woman, Charlene Stewart, I had met while I was in Lubbock. We decided to
go to different mission fields. Not only did we see it as best for us, but also felt God calling us in different directions.
After my time in Albany was completed I went back to Lubbock, Texas in August of 1996 to attend SIBI. In December Charlene
Stewart returned to the states from her mission field and settled in Lubbock to work full time while we decided where we stood.
That decision was quick and decisive. By March of 1997 we were engaged, by June we were married.
Due to health complications and lack of support we moved back to Albany, NY. We have now been very happily married for 5 years,
and we attend the Albany Church of Christ. We are responsible for the weekly bulletin, the events calendar, and are involved
with the Young Marrieds group.
Although this site started as a school project in basic HTML design it has been something I have wanted to do
for years, and I have every intention to continue working on it. It may be a while before it gets to where I want it,
but as time is available I will add things and update things.
